in which i accidentally pressed a button on my camera around my neck on my way home from school

{homework assignment below}

Speaking of the metro, some friends and i decided to 'discover the metro' the other day. You see, my roommate Melissa has taken me by the hand through the crazy world of public transportation here in Paris. i realized i needed to get a handle on the system when i landed myself in an Algerian neighborhood the other day by accident. i carry around a little notebook around with me everywhere and this is what i wrote:

"Right now i am sitting at a metro stop alone. it's the first time i've taken the metro by myself and i'm a little lost. okay i'm very lost. i've gotten on and off a few stops and can't seem to get home. i'm sure one day this will be funny...right?"

So, i had some friends teach me the ropes, and now i can navigate the metro seul! i love the metro. i love the man who plays spanish music at Chatlet. i love the picture framed advertisements at musee d'orsay. i love swiping my navi-go card and feeling like a true parisienne.

and, i love these men in this video who made me smile in the midst of my hustle and bustle.
